Satellite

On a morning such as this

I could feel the earth above

You're like a silent film I can see, but I can't touch

& I know we'd give enough

If we knew we get love back

& I'm blinded by the sheets pulled over my life

& this blindness seems so unkind

Like today…

Another morning turns to night

A spacestation is my life

I got vacation on my mind

& you're my universe

& this orbit feels so alone

So alone I can't defy

And I know the atmosphere is rough

And I know I have to go…

I'm floating like a satellite...

Well a plane could land upon my heart

& the pain would still subside

& I don't know has it's gotten this far

I just know that I wanted more

Suspended without gravity

I beg the earth for ground

& I wanted so much just to hold you up

But I'm begging that you'll hold me down

I'm floating like a satellite...

Higher, & higher, & higher...

Escape velocity in full

An earth-year from me feeling whole

The changes come, & changes pull

May changes take my life

But not my soul…

Solo

I'm floating like a Satellite...
